THE BUDDYHOOD

Exploring the power of storytelling to create positive change

Stories To Create Positive Change & Confront Mental Pollution

Mental pollution arises from toxic trends that bombard us with negativity and unrealistic expectations, often through social media and pop culture.

This can lead to anxiety, low self-esteem, and a distorted self-view.

A troubled state of mind can cause words and actions that could potentially be hurtful or lead to distress and isolation.

We Envisage a More Mindful World

Words and actions can have consequences and WE hope to use ours to create an impact.

Our stories endeavour to empower everyone to be their authentic selves and live more fulfilling lives.

Whatever the outcome, it is important to talk, laugh and accept that large emotions will happen, it is how we navigate them that matters.

Stories Make Us Human

Through fictional stories we hope to entertain and raise awareness.

Stories are how we have always made sense of the world. Now more than ever, as we evolve and navigate a new era in which we coexist with technology, stories are fundamental to what makes us human.

We hope our narratives help nurture friendship and a safe environment where everyone can be the incredible people they deserve to be.

The Buddyhood; in true friendship we find belonging.

We Want a Better Future

We are parents who believe that there are not enough books written from both perspectives.

As an Indian mother and British father from differing social backgrounds we have grown up learning to react and manage emotions in different ways.
Through our stories we hope to use our diverse voices to provide a rounded, unbiased and empathetic approach that will continue to resonate with our readers long after the last page.

About Us

The Buddyhood’s founders and authors are Harleen and Andrew Cook.

“We are parents who believe that there are not enough books written from both perspectives.

As an Indian mother and British father from differing social backgrounds we have grown up learning to react and manage emotions in different ways. Our collaborative work is rooted in a profound friendship that has evolved from being work “Buddies” to being life “Buddies,” with a shared commitment to always having each other’s backs.

Our vision is a world where authenticity and positivity thrive. Through our stories we hope to use our diverse voices to provide a rounded, unbiased and empathetic approach that will continue to resonate with our readers long after the last page.

Our work reflects our core belief that even quiet voices should be empowered and every life is worth living.”
